Meander: The Met is a daily art discovery app inspired by a lazy day at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, NY.

Explore the museum's collection in a way that feels more like wandering through the galleries than searching for specific pieces. Built as a TikTok clone complete with a custom recommendation algorithm, it offers a unique and engaging way to discover art.

Each piece arrives full-bleed in a vertical feed — title, date, and department anchored at the bottom — so you can sit with the object before deciding what to do with it.

An Expert Perspectives panel offers AI-generated interpretations from the voice of each department's curator — a way to read deeper into a piece without leaving the feed.

Tap into any object to see its full record — artist, bio, date, medium — and pivot from there into the artist's wider body of work, sortable across the Met's collection.

Users can also collect objects by adding them to their personal gallery. Each acquisition is exclusive — once you hold a piece, no one else can — creating a real sense of ownership and a deeper connection with the work.

An Archive tracks everything you've held, acquired, and released — visit counts, time spent, and the departments you're most drawn to — so the collection becomes a quiet record of your own attention.

Follow individual Met departments to tune the feed toward the corners of the collection you love most.
